After yesterday's marathon drive to get to Wendover, Nevada, it was nice to enjoy much less driving and much more fun.

Our rule: If we camp overnight in a state we put its sticker on the map.

Wendover is just a few miles from the Bonneville Salt Flats. This was our first stop.

We had a fun time! We even surprised the girls and allowed them to participate too.

Then we drove to Salt Lake City, stopping briefly at Saltair to see the lake up close. It made quite an impression on us with its many dead birds, flies and terrible terrible smell.

We had a really fun day. Looking forward to exploring more of Utah over the next few days.
